Over the past year, thousands of you have picked up the AI by Hand ✍️ Deep Learning Math Workbook — and I just want to start by saying “thank you.”
Seeing this little workbook make its way onto desks and whiteboards all around the world has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey so far.
Many of you have reached out to me personally — sending emails, DMs, and even beautiful photos and videos showing the moment you finished the final exercise. I can’t tell you how much joy those messages bring me. It’s inspiring to see how many of you are not just reading but actually doing the math by hand. 🙌
Some of you also asked if you could receive a certificate to mark that accomplishment. In the beginning, I even mailed out physical certificates to those who completed the workbook.
It was fun at first — until the logistics started to spiral out of control.
Canada Post went on strike (more than once), India Post kept returning my packages, and the UK even charging import duties on certificates I was sending for free (my bad for filling out the form incorrectly). Despite my best efforts, some certificates never made it to their destinations — and I knew I had to find a better way.
So, I switched to sending digital certificates by email back in the summer, and I’ve been doing that one by one for everyone who reached out. But now, as the community continues to grow (and my inbox becomes more and more impossible to manage 😅), it’s time to formalize the process.
